From its early days as a farming hub to its transformation into a lively destination along the Delaware and Hudson Canal and the New York, Ontario & Western Railway, Accord has thrived as a place where locals and visitors come together. Even our name tells a story. When leaders couldn’t reach an accord on what to call the town, they humorously settled on “Accord.” The meaning stuck. Unity, harmony, and a shared table.
